This page explains how CasinoBuddies reviews and sister-site guides are put together, and what they are not.
Where the information comes from
Every page is researched from public sources. For a casino review these are, in order of weight:
- Regulator registers. For UK casinos, the Gambling Commission’s public register: the company that holds the licence, the licence number and its status. For offshore casinos, the register of the authority named in the casino’s footer, where one is published.
- The casino’s own documents. Terms and conditions, bonus terms, payment pages and responsible gambling pages, read as written on the date shown on the review.
- Published player complaints. Complaints and reviews posted publicly by players. These are reported as complaints, with their source, not as proven facts.
What a review covers
Who runs the casino and which licence it holds; whether it accepts UK players; the welcome offer and the terms that decide its real cost, such as wagering, maximum bets and expiry; deposit and withdrawal methods and limits; identity checks; responsible gambling tools; and the complaints players raise most often.
How sister sites are identified
Two casinos are treated as sister sites when the same company holds their licence, or when the casinos’ own terms name the same operator. Brands that only share a software platform or a game supplier are not called sister sites. Where ownership cannot be confirmed, the guide says so.
What we do not do
We do not open funded accounts, deposit money or play at the casinos we cover, so the pages do not describe personal test results. Withdrawal times and bonus outcomes are given as the casino states them or as players report them. We do not give star ratings, and we do not currently use affiliate links.
Tools and checks
We use software tools, including AI writing tools, to collect sources and draft text. Facts such as licence details, bonus terms and limits are checked against the sources before a page is published, and pages are updated when something material changes, such as a licence suspension or new terms.
